Australia has announced its Priority Migration skilled Occupations List!
Eligible candidates will be granted a Travel exemption by the Government (subject to rules and regulations in place) to travel to Australia for work amidst the strict boarder control measures in place in the light of the Pandemic.
The 17 Occupation listed on the Priority Migration Skilled Occupations list were based from the national skills Commission and Consultation with relevant commonwealth agencies and will be reviewed regularly. Alan Tudge, Acting Minister for Immigration, Citizenship, Migrant Services and Multicultural Affairs stated that the changes hope to strike a right balance for Australia’s economic recovery following the Pandemic.
The occupations in the Health care, Construction and IT Sectors are expected to supercharge the country’s Health and Economic Response to the Pandemic.
Visa holders will be permitted to request for a Travel Exemption but would be subject to a 14-day quarantine period at their own expense.
